Comms in Missions
Field Support
Why do so many missionaries leave the field early?
It's not because they’ve lost their calling, but because of exhaustion, isolation, or a lack of support from home.
Without consistent encouragement, prayer, and resources, it becomes incredibly difficult to stay long term in the Field.
Most missionaries serve on small teams of just a few people or families. Learning a new language, adjusting to a new culture, and being far from loved ones can feel deeply isolating.
Missionaries are strangers in the culture, while the culture is still a stranger to them.
On top of that, church support often fades after departure, and in places resistant to Christianity, that isolation only grows.
Issue of Visibility
Though some of this is just the struggles of a new environment, one of the biggest reasons this happens is lack of visibility.
Churches and supporters often want to help but don’t know how if they aren’t kept connected.
This gap can mean fewer prayers, less support, and ultimately, ministries that struggle to continue.
Without good Communications, many missionaries become invisible.
Comms Team
That’s why our Communications Team exists. We come alongside missionaries to keep them visible.
This will be Emily’s primary ministry on the field. She will use her communication, media, and journalism skills to tell the stories of the field.—capturing photos, producing short videos, writing blog posts, sending newsletters, and sharing updates that highlight what God is doing through the work there.

These tools help churches and supporters stay connected and invested.
They also give missionaries the encouragement of knowing their work is being seen, valued, and prayed for.
It's Not Glamorous
We are not in a jungle in some far away land, but what we are doing is very important.
We keep missionaries visible, keep churches engaged, and this helps the gospel continue to spread to every tongue and every nation.
